Liberia's forests constitute by far the largest remaining blocks (43%) of the Upper Guinean Forest Ecosystem, making these forests a global hotspot for biodiversity. If managed sustainably, they can generate income and support rural livelihoods. This study includes a review of the reports that describe the performed forest ssessments and examples of satellite data from different years showing some of the changes in Liberian forests.
